Statement on the opening of an investigation into the lawfulness of the disclosure of special category data of Alexandre Elisashvili

Due to high public interest, we would like to inform you that the Personal Data Protection Service has opened an investigation on the lawfulness of disclosure of special category of data of Alexandre Elisashvili.

On 10 January 2025, information about the health status of Alexandre Elisashvili was published on the social networking site Facebook. The post included an x-ray of the person concerned.

During this investigation, the service will work within the limits of the powers conferred by law.
