Statement on the apparent disinformation spread by the “Independent Trade Union of Civil Servants – Article 78 of the Constitution”
We would like to address the disinformation spread by the “Independent Trade Union of Civil Servants – Article 78 of the Constitution” on the release of a civil servant from the Personal Data Protection Service. This information was also shared by the media based on the account provided by the Union.
We clarify that since its establishment (March 1st 2022) to this day the Personal Data Protection Service has not dismissed any of its civil servants. We also clarify that during this time aside from civil servants the Personal Data Protection Service had dozens of employment contracts with different individuals to fulfil support or non-permanent tasks including expert work. None of them were dismissed before the effective date of resignation.
We believe that the information disseminated is a deliberate attempt to damage the reputation of the service.
