"Phishing" is a form of cyber-attack that aims to spread malicious software onto a device and/or obtain confidential information or personal data through deception.
Through electronic and/or short text messages sent on behalf of commercial banks, may ask you to verify your personal account, for which you have to follow a link specifically created for "phishing" purposes and provide your personal data. Moreover, the website accessible via the link may closely resemble the official website of a particular commercial bank.
The Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia urges individuals to refrain from opening suspicious links received via electronic or text messages and from disclosing any personal data. If you do access a link, please carefully verify the authenticity of the website and do not trust its appearance alone.
