President of the Personal Data Protection Service, Lela Janashvili, presented a report on the new legislative regulation of personal data protection during an interactive dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on the inviolability of personal life at the 55th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Geneva.

During the interactive dialogue, the report prepared by the Special Rapporteur, Dr. Ana Brianne Nogreres, focused on the subject: "Legal guarantees of personal data protection and protection of the right to privacy in the digital age". The report delves into a comparative legal context, discussing the rights of data subjects and the legal mechanisms for their protection under the national legislation of states across five different continents.

In the format of an interactive dialogue, representatives of member states responded to the issues discussed in the Special Rapporteur's report. Lela Janashvili, President of the Personal Data Protection Service, highlighted legislative innovations in personal data protection and the mechanisms for legal protection of data subjects' rights under the new Law of Georgia "On Personal Data Protection". In conclusion, Janashvili thanked the special speaker, Dr. Ana Brian Nogreres, on behalf of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) and the Personal Data Protection Service. She reiterated their commitment to cooperation aimed at raising awareness and promoting a culture of personal data protection.
