Law of Georgia "On Personal Data Protection", one of the aspects of data processing, provides for the implementation of video monitoring and audio monitoring, defines their concepts and establishes special rules for data processing in the mentioned forms. More specifically, the law establishes the specific purposes of video monitoring and defines issues related to video monitoring of an employee's work process/space, also, residential buildings, changing rooms, hygiene areas or spaces where the subject has a reasonable expectation of privacy. Additionally, the law exhaustively defines the grounds of audio monitoring, the obligations to inform the subject and to define in writing the characteristics of the data processing process by means of audio monitoring/video monitoring.

The guideline is open to recommendations and considerations and will be updated periodically.
