The Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia conducted an informational and consultative online training for up to 100 representatives from 64 municipalities
In relation to the changes envisaged by the Law, an information-consultative online session was held with the representatives of the municipalities. Up to 100 representatives of 64 municipalities attended the meeting.
In the scope of the training, the key novelties provided by the Law of Georgia “On Personal Data Protection”, such as the updated grounds for data processing, principles, rights of data subject, video monitoring, were discussed. Additionally, the obligation to appoint a personal data protection officer and the functions and obligations envisaged by the Law were covered.
The training was led by the Deputy Head of the Planned Inspection Department, Avtandil Lepsveridze, the Deputy Head of the Legal Department - Shavleg Todua and the Senior Lawyer of the same department - Lia Moralishvili.
The meeting was conducted in collaboration with The National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia.
