The Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia conducted trainings for representatives of 10 regional municipalities.

The Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia, in cooperation with the Government Administration of Georgia, conducted trainings for representatives of municipalities from 10 regions of Georgia, including personal data protection officers. The meetings were held online for 5 days.

The Head of the Public Sector Oversight Department - Ketevan Kratsashvili, the Deputy Head of the Legal Department - Shavleg Todua and the Deputy Head of the Department of Oversight of Law Enforcement Bodies of the Personal Data Protection Service – Lika Taniashvili introduced the basic rules of personal data protection and the novelties provided by the new Law of Georgia “On Personal Data Protection” up to 250 representatives of municipalities.

The service representatives adapted the presentations to their needs, taking into account the questions and issues that the municipalities had provided in advance. Specific examples and cases were discussed.

The meetings were conducted in a question and answer format.
