The First Deputy Head of the Personal Data Protection Service – Dr. Otar Chakhunashvili took part in a conference co-organized by Europol Data Protection Experts Network in Hague.

The Conference with the name “Data Protection & Cyber Security as Law Enforcement Core Business” lasted for 2 days. The following topics were discussed during the event: Data security, disinformation, lawful use of surveillance technology by law enforcement organizations, Data Protection Officers of law enforcement organizations  and other such topics.

Co-Executive Director of Europol - Catherine De Bolle, President of Slovenia - Nataša Pirc Musar and the European Data Protection Supervisor - Wojciech Wiewiórowski adressed the conference.

Representatives of foreign supervisory bodies for personal data protection also participated in the event.
