Informative meeting with the education sector of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara

Representatives of The Personal Data Protection Service held an informative meeting with the education sector of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara

The meeting was attended by the Heads of Educational Resource Centers, lawyers, regional coordinators of the Office of Resource Officers and Heads of authorized public/private schools.

During the meeting, representatives of the Service spoke about the following topics: protection of personal data security in educational institutions and the role of a Data Protection Officer in this process, procedure of notification about an incident and the impact of the new law “On Personal Data Protection” on the educational sector. They also discussed specific cases and responded in detail to questions asked by the attending audience.

The meeting was delivered by the Head of the Public Sector Oversight Department – Ketevan Kratsashvili, The Personal Data Protection Officer – Tengiz Mamulia, Deputy Head of the Legal Department – Shavleg Todua and the expert of the Service in the field of education - Tamar Abazadze.
