The Personal Data Protection Service conducted a training session on personal data protection for employees of the Ministry of Defence and the legal entities under its governance.
The training covered a wide range of topics, including a general overview of the law, the importance of personal data protection rights, and striking a fair balance between privacy and the safeguarding of public safety. Key subjects included the principles of data processing, legal bases, data security, data subject rights, and other notable provisions of the Georgian law "On Personal Data Protection."
Given that the training was specifically designed for employees of the Ministry of Defence, the Service tailored the content to address topics relevant to the Ministry’s core activities and responsibilities.
