Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia has become a member of the “International Association of Privacy Professionals” (IAPP)

The personal Data Protection Service has joined the International Association of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (“IAPP”) as a corporate member. The status of membership in the association gives the service a significant advantage in terms of its institutional development, professional growth of employees and the strategic goals of the agency.

With the status of a member, the employees of the Service are provided with access to the digital library located on the platform of the "International Association of Privacy Experts", to the decisions of supervisory bodies, reports and other important materials in the field of data protection, which will help the Service to have updated information on current trends and innovations in this direction worldwide. Also, the status of a member gives the employees of the Service the opportunity to participate in various certification programs of the Association on preferential terms. It is also worth noting the opportunity to expand the international cooperation of the Agency and harmonize it with global data protection standards.

The first working meeting with the association will be held on January 30. During the meeting, the benefits of membership will be discussed, and the use of the association's platform will be explained to the service employees.
