“Confidentiality lessons” are actively being conducted with school students at the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia.

The project, in which students from both public and private schools in Tbilisi are participating, started on February 4. So far, representatives of the Personal Data Protection Service have held meetings with over 100 students.

During the meetings, students receive information about the importance of data protection and assess the risks that may arise from the illegal or careless disclosure of data. They also learn about internet security rules.

It should be noted that meetings with students in grades VI-XII are scheduled through prior registration.

To schedule a meeting, school representatives should send the following information to the email address office@pdps.ge:

  • Information about the school;
  • Contact person's phone number and email address;
  • The exact age and number of students attending;
  • Preferred meeting date (Tuesday);

Meetings are scheduled for the entire group by the school administration or teacher.

The goal of the project is to familiarize school students with personal data protection issues and raise their awareness.
