The Data Protection Service of Georgia held an informative meeting for the representatives of the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency

The Personal Data Protection Service held an informational meeting for representatives of the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency.

During the meeting, Nikoloz Popiashvili, Head of the Office of the President of the Service, and Lika Kobaladze, Head of the Legal Department, provided a detailed explanation of the legal basis and principles of personal data processing, as well as the recent amendments to the Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection.

Representatives of the Personal Data protection service introduced the audience to the agency's mandate and the mechanism for verifying the legality of data processing.

A discussion was also held on the framework for the protection of consumer rights and data subject rights.
