The Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia held a meeting with representatives of “Sakpatenti”


A meeting was held with representatives of the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia, "Sakpatenti," to discuss important amendments to the Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection.

During the meeting, the Personal Data Protection Officer of the Service, Tengiz Mamulia, and the Senior Lawyer of the Office of the President, Ana Shengelia, provided representatives of Sakpatenti with information on the following topics: the scope of the law, the legal basis and principles of personal data processing, data security, reporting of data breaches, implementation of audio and video monitoring, biometric data processing, international data transfer, data protection impact assessment, data subject rights, the role and significance of the Personal Data Protection Officer, as well as administrative offenses stipulated by the law and the procedure for their consideration.

The meeting was held in an interactive format, allowing the audience to receive detailed information on topics of interest to them.
