The President of the Personal Data Protection Service underwent public lecture at the University of Business and Technology


The President of the Personal Data Protection Service underwent a public lecture at the Business and Technology University. Prof. Dr. Dr. Lela Janashvili presented a report on the topic: "Personal data and artificial intelligence" to the students and academic staff of the university.

The meeting was attended by the rector of the Business and Technology University, Nino Enukidze, and the director of the research center of the Business and Technology University, Zviad Gabisonia.

Prof. Dr. Dr. Lela Janashvili introduced interesting world practice in this direction to the audience, particularly emphasized the fact that the European Parliament approved the Artificial Intelligence Act earlier this month. Its purpose is to protect fundamental rights from the risks of artificial intelligence while promoting innovation.

Additionally, The President of the Personal Data Protection Service introduced the important changes provided by the new law to the students, the main part of which entered into force on March 1.
