First Deputy President of Personal Data Protection Service held an information meeting for the members of the Mediators Association

First Deputy President of the Personal Data Protection Service, Otar Chakhunashvili, held an informational meeting for the members of the Mediators Association of Georgia.

The purpose of the meeting was to inform about the terms, grounds for data processing, principles of data processing and rights of data subjects provided by the new Law of Georgia “On Personal Data Protection”.

Head of the legal department of the service, Lika Kobaladze, presented a detailed presentation regarding the legislative changes.

During the meeting, the audience was informed about various topics including: purposes and scope of the new law of Georgia “On Personal Data Protection”, definition of terms, principles of data processing and grounds for data processing, direct marketing, video monitoring and audio monitoring, rights of data subjects, profiling and porting, privacy by design and by default and breach notification.

The meeting was conducted interactively. We remind you that the main provision of the new law of Georgia “On Personal Data Protection” entered into force on March 1, 2024.
