Another meeting regarding the changes outlined in the new law "On Personal Data Protection" was held in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region

Next meeting was held with the representatives of self-governments in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region regarding the changes provided by the new law "On Personal Data Protection".

The meeting was attended by relevant responsible persons employed in the field of personal data protection in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti state representative’s administration and as well as representatives from the self-governments of Mtskheta, Tianeti, Kazbegi, Dusheti, self-governments of Akhalgori  (city hall/city assembly), likewise Mtskheta-Mtianeti state representative - Davit Nozadze, state representative’s Administration of Head Mtskheta-Mtianeti - Giuli Pitskhelauri and other employees of the department were present.

The head of the Department of Oversight of Law Enforcement Bodies of the Personal Data Protection Service - Ia Kipiani, the head of the legal department of the service - Lika Kobaladze and the deputy head of the same department - Shavleg Todua introduced the novelties provided by the new Law of Georgia "On Personal Data Protection" to the audience.

The speakers discussed in detail important issues outlined by the law, such as the updated grounds of data processing, principles, data subject rights, profiling, data portability, audio and video monitoring, data protection impact assessment, personal data protection officer, changes in penalties and the data breach notification.

The meeting was conducted interactively, allowing the attendies to actively engage and receive detailed information on issues of interest to them.

In order to disseminate information about the updates provided by the law, the service will continue to conduct active meetings in various formats in the future.
