To raise young people's awareness of personal data protection issues, informative and cognitive lectures were held with up to 300 students from public and private schools

The Personal Data Protection Service actively continues to conduct informative and cognitive lectures in order to raise the awareness of personal data protection issues among young people.

This time, the meetings were held with  up to 300 students from public and private schools.

  • Representatives of the Service provided information on personal data protection issues to the students of 213th, 106th, 147th and 72nd Public Schools of Tbilisi, as well as the Mtskheta N1 Public School;
  • An online meeting was held with the students of the Poti N1 Public School;
  • A training session was held at the Britannica and Decade private Schools.

During the meetings, special attention was given to the protection of personal information of minors. Students received information on what data is being processed at schools, social networks or in other spaces during the day. They learned the cases in which the processing of the data mentioned is in accordance with the law or when it is not.

The lectures were held in an interactive mode. Students asked questions that they felt were relevant.

The educational sector is one of the main priorities for the Personal Data Protection Service. On the one hand, the inviolability of students' privacy and on the other, strengthening the culture of data protection among the students themselves is of particular importance, and for this purpose, the Service constantly conducts various types of activities and will continue to do so actively in the future.
