Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia became a co-chair of a working group of the “Global Privacy Assembly” (GPA) which examines data protection issues within the scope of gender (“Intersectional Gender Perspective in Data Protection Working Group”).

The service will manage the working group in partnership with the Mexican “National Institute for Transparency, Access to Information and Personal Data Protection” (INAI). Up to 15 supervisory authorities and up to 15 supervisory authorities and international organizations are part of this group.

The objective of the Data Protection with Gender Perspective Working Group is to ensure that data protection policies, practices, and frameworks are designed and implemented with a gender-sensitive approach. The group aims to identify and address gender-based risks and bases in data handling while promoting inclusivity and fairness.

The Personal Data Protection Service actively participates in the “Global Privacy Assembly” working group activities and continues mutual partnership in data protection with the supervisory authorities in order to help with the implementation of the purposes and strategic goals of the assembly.
