On the path of European integration, the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia, as it shares the values and vision of the European personal data protection authorities, continues to strengthen the culture of personal data protection in society, protects the data subjects’ rights and makes its contribution to creating effective personal data protection mechanisms in the modern era.
In the process of European integration, the harmonisation of the national legislation on personal data protection with the EU "General Data Protection Regulation" stands as one of the significant achievements of our country for strengthening the fundamental constitutional right to privacy and data protection in society, fulfilling international obligations assumed by Georgia and implementing internationally recognised standards and the best practices.
Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia is an active member of the global data protection community and continues to deepen cooperation with the EU institutions — the "European Data Protection Board" (EDPB), the "European Data Protection Supervisor" (EDPS), and the European personal data protection authorities.
