The Personal Data Protection Service has been granted observer status in the Ibero-American Data Protection Network (RIPD)

The Personal Data Protection Service has been granted observer status in the Ibero-American Data Protection Network (RIPD). The decision was adopted by the network’s members during its annual meeting, held on 28 May 2025 in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia.

RIPD is a regional forum that brings together public and private sector organizations operating in the field of personal data protection across the Ibero-American region. It promotes the exchange of information, knowledge, and best practices. Through its activities, RIPD makes a significant contribution to the protection of human rights and the promotion of economic development in the region, particularly in the area of international data transfers.

RIPD also addresses challenges arising from the use of modern technologies - such as artificial intelligence and neurotechnologies - and promotes high standards of privacy protection in the context of technological adaptation. Special attention is given to protecting the most vulnerable groups, especially children and minors in the online environment.

We are pleased to announce that the Personal Data Protection Service has joined the RIPD network as an observer. The Service stands ready to actively share its experience with network members, strengthen cooperation, and contribute to the promotion of high standards of privacy protection through joint efforts.
