The 23rd Annual Meeting of Central and Eastern European Data Protection Authorities (CEEDPA) was held


On June 11-13, 2025, the 23rd Annual Meeting of Central and Eastern European Data Protection Authorities (CEEDPA) was held in Kraków, Poland. The annual meeting aims to promote the implementation of international data protection standards and to the exchange of best practices among the heads and staff of data protection supervisory authorities from Central and Eastern Europe.

the 23rd CEEDPA meeting  was attended by Lika Kobaladze, Head of the Legal Department of the Personal Data Protection Service, Aleksandre Mirianashvili, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of the Service and Milena Svanidze, Senior Lawyer of the Private Sector Supervision Department.

The representatives of the Service actively participated in a working-format session organized by the Polish Data Protection Authority, which was focused on adapting international data protection regulations to the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises. During the session, participants discussed a proposal to simplify GDPR-related regulations and legal obligations for small and medium-sized enterprises, and time was dedicated to exchanging views, opinions and national experiences of the attendees.

Also as part of the 23rd CEEDPA meeting, a scientific conference was held on the topic: "Quantum Technologies: Threats, Challenges and Opportunities in the Fields of Cybersecurity and Personal Data Protection."

It is noteworthy that the first CEEDPA meeting was held on December 17, 2001, in Warsaw and since then, the member supervisory authorities have met annually to strengthen cooperation and raise awareness about shared principles in personal data protection.
