Up to 1 400 Representatives of the Public Sector Attended the Webinar Organized by the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia


The Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia held a webinar for representatives of the public sector.

The informational meeting focused on Article 28 of the Law of Georgia "On Personal Data Protection," which establishes the obligation for data controllers and data processors to keep records of information related to data processing. This obligation promotes a unified, simple and accessible understanding of data processing activities, supports to conduct the data processing process in accordance with the law and demonstrates its legality.

The meeting was led by Ketevan Kratsashvili, Head of the Public Sector Oversight Department; Ia Kipiani, Head of the Law Enforcement Sector Oversight Department; and Sophio Shamugia, Head of the Department for the Planned Inspections.

Up to 1 400 public sector representatives from attended the webinar across Georgia. The Service plans to offer similar extended meetings to interested parties again in the near future.
