The Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia is pleased to announce a competition for participation in the First National Competition on Personal Data Protection Law!
Participants will have a unique opportunity to act as employees of the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia through a role-playing simulation: to examine a suspected violation of the Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection, conduct an inspection, assess the circumstances, and prepare a legal decision.
Participation is open to students of the Bachelor’s degree program at the Faculty of Law of authorized higher education institutions in Georgia, starting from the 5th semester. Each university may submit multiple teams, with each team consisting of four students from the same university.
Project Objectives:
Team Selection Process:
Stage I – Registration (September 25 – October 19)
Stage II – Orientation meetings for registered teams
Stage III – Testing to select the top 8 teams
The competition will be held in simulation format in Tbilisi. The winner will be determined by a jury.
Competition Format:
The top eight teams selected through testing will participate in role-playing games. Students will assume the roles of officers at the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia: they will conduct inspection simulations, study the factual circumstances, and prepare a final decision based on legal analysis.
After the first round, the four best teams will advance to the semifinals. Two teams will be selected for the final round.
The final round will take place in Tbilisi.
Participation Benefits:
Each participant will receive a certificate of participation and thematic literature.
