The First National Student Competition in Personal Data Protection Law Has Begun

The first-ever National Student Competition in Personal Data Protection Law has officially started.

A total of 27 teams, consisting of 108 students from accredited higher education institutions across Georgia, have registered to participate in the competition.

Today, the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia conducted a testing round to select the top eight teams for the next stage. The students advancing to the next phase will take on the roles of employees of the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia: they will analyze case studies, examine factual circumstances, and prepare final decisions based on legal reasoning.

Following the first round, four top teams will be selected, with two teams advancing to the final round.

Each member of the winning team will be awarded a three-month paid internship at the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia in Tbilisi.

The aim of the project is to raise students’ awareness of personal data protection law, emphasize the importance of data protection, and promote understanding of the activities of the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia.

The National Student Competition in Personal Data Protection Law will be held annually, organized and initiated by the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia.
