Quarter-Final of the National Competition in Personal Data Protection Law Held

The quarter-final round of the National Competition in Personal Data Protection Law has been held.

Eight teams, each composed of four participants, competed in this stage of the competition. The students worked on a legal case and had six hours to prepare their final decision.

Following the quarter-finals, four top teams will be selected to advance, and two of them will proceed to the final round.

Each member of the winning team will complete a three-month paid internship, on a rotating basis, at the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia in Tbilisi.

It is noteworthy that a total of 27 teams, consisting of 108 students from higher education institutions authorized in Georgia, registered to participate in the competition.

The goal of the project is to raise awareness among students about personal data protection law, the importance of data protection, and the activities of the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia.

The National Competition in Personal Data Protection Law will be organized annually on the initiative of the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia.
