The Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia has conducted a series of meetings with students from schools in Tbilisi, Batumi, Nabeglavi, Poti, Akhaltsikhe, and Khashuri as part of the “Privacy Lessons” project.
Since September 2025, the Service’s representatives have delivered training to nearly 600 students from public and private schools, raising their awareness about the importance of protecting personal data and the fundamental principles of online safety.
The Service hosts school visits at its offices in Tbilisi and Batumi, and also travels to interested schools across the regions. As part of the project, students receive educational and engaging informational newspapers prepared by the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia.
During the sessions, students learned about the importance of data protection and their rights, the risks associated with unlawful data processing, internet safety rules, the significance of fostering a culture of data protection, and the role of the Service in this process.
The aim of the project is to promote awareness of personal data protection among minors. Through the “Privacy Lessons” initiative, students from grades VI–XII are equipped with knowledge about the importance of data protection and are encouraged to assess the risks that may arise from unlawful or careless disclosure of personal information.
