The Personal Data Protection of Georgia conducted an informative online meeting for the representatives of the municipalities of the region of Georgia


The Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia, in cooperation with the National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia, held informative online meetings for the representatives of the municipalities of the Georgian region.

During the meeting, the innovations provided by the new Law of Georgia "On Personal Data Protection" were discussed. Such as: updated grounds for data processing, principles, rights of data subjects, video surveillance. The obligation to appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO), the function and duties of the DPO under the Law of Georgia "On Personal Data Protection" were also discussed.

The meeting, chaired by the Deputy Head of the Legal Department, Shavleg Todua, was held in a question and answer format and was attended by up to 80 representatives.
