The Personal Data Protection Service conducted trainings with representatives of the public sector on the changes outlined by the new law


Employees of the Personal Data Protection Service conducted trainings with representatives of the public sector on the changes outlined by the new law during a cycle of regional meetings.

This time, the meetings were held for the City Halls of Tskaltubo and Lanchkhuti, Personal Data Protection Officers of NNLE’s established by these City Halls and other employees. Both meetings had up to 60 attendees.

 

During the Trainings the Deputy Head of the Legal Department – Shavleg Todua and The Deputy Head of the Department of Planned Inspections - Avtandil Lepsveridze outlined important issues such as: Grounds for personal data processing and principles, rights of data subjects, data breach (incident) notification, data protection impact assessment, data security, data protection officer institute and administrative offences as provided for by the law.

 

The meetings followed a question-and-answer format, allowing representatives from the public sector to engage in discussions and address specific cases.
