A training on Personal Data Protection issues was conducted for the academic staff and students of Gori University


 

A training on the changes outlined in the new Law of Georgia "On Personal Data Protection" was held for the academic staff and students of Gori University. The Deputy Head of the Department of Planned Inspections - Avtandil Lepsveridze and the Deputy Head of the Personal Data Protection Service’s Law Enforcement Sector Oversight Department – Lika Taniashvili informed the participants about the changes.

During the meeting, the audience was informed about topics such as the objectives and scope of the law On Personal Data Protection, terms, principles and grounds of data processing, direct marketing, video/audio surveillance and others.

The meeting was held in an interactive mode, giving the public the opportunity to obtain detailed information on topics of interest to them.
