The service launched a cycle of training to raise awareness of personal data protection issues among ethnic minorities
To raise awareness of personal data protection issues, the service started a cycle of training in schools in the Kvemo Kartli region.
Meetings were held with around 60 students from the International Maarif Schools in Marneuli and the Marneuli N1 Public School.
Georgian and Azerbaijani language training was also provided to 120 primary school pupils from Tbilisi schools N73, N218 and N64.
During the meetings, special attention was given to the importance of protecting the personal data of minors. Pupils received information about what personal data is processed at school, on social networks, or in different spaces. They gained an understanding of the circumstances under which the processing of such data is in accordance with the law and when it is not.
Raising awareness among ethnic minorities on personal data protection issues is one of the service's priorities. In the future, it is planned to hold informational meetings in Armenian-speaking schools.
